Management of Instructional Development

Course Objectives

The course will apply the principles of project management in managing innovations and planning, preparing, and monitoring the design and development of teaching-learning materials.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. acquire the concept of project leadership
  2. identify roles, responsibilities, and competencies of project leaders and team members
  3. classify the project management models and tools for use in instructional development settings
  4. determine project scope
  5. identify critical success factors of instructional projects
  6. acquire concept of planning, resourcing, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, and terminating projects
  7. analyze project cost data
  8. use technology tools to manage instructional projects, and
  9. resolve project conflicts professionally
